  • Saturday, March 5 at 2:00, author Tim Dorsey at the Mystery One Bookstore. Dorsey is the author of the Serge A. Storms series featuring a vigilante serial killer fans can’t seem to get enough of. His latest installation, Electric Barracuda, lucky #13 in the series, was released in January. Mystery One Bookstore is located at 2109 N. Prospect on Milwaukee’s East Side.
  • Wednesday, March 16 at 6:30, poet Meg Kearney at Mount Mary College (Reservations Required.)  Kearney’s collection of poems entitled, Home By Now, was a winner of the 2010 PEN New England LL Winship Award.  Kearney will be featured as part of the Mount Mary English department’s Writers on Writing series. The event will take place in Helfaer Hall, located on the Mount Mary College campus at 2900 N. Menomonee River Parkway. Read more…

Angel and Macken to hold book signing at Mount Mary College

Authors, Ann Angel (“Janis Joplin: Rise up Singing,” “Such a Pretty Face: Short Stories About Beauty“) and JoAnn Early Macken (“Waiting out the Storm,” “Flip, Float, Fly: Seeds on the Move“) are scheduled for a book signing at the Mount Mary College bookstore Dec. 6 at 1:00 p.m.

Angel and Macken both teach in the graduate professional writing program at Mount Mary College.

Judy Bridges to release “Shut Up & Write”

Judy Bridges, writing mentor and founder of the Redbird Studio writing center in Milwaukee launches her new book in November. “Shut Up & Write” is the story of the writers she has mentored, and what she learned from them.

1. Thursday, November 11th, 7 p.m., join Bridges along with Annie Chase, Carol Wobig, Bert Kelly, Felicity Librie and Pam Parker for “Redbird Rocks” at The Marian Center. The event takes place in the Main floor Social Room.
